Francesca brings a deep-rooted passion for direct service and social-emotional development of youth and disabled adults to Elevate. Prior to joining the team, she completed two terms of service as an AmeriCorps member in Rhode Island. As an AmeriCorps member, she taught about topics from Yoga to Seal Anatomy and facilitated discussions with peers on civic reflection, identity, and leadership. After AmeriCorps, she worked for Avatar Inc., where she supported adults with developmental disabilities through case management, employment mentoring, and social skills coaching.
Francesca found fellow Rhode Islanders living in DC by joining the State Society of Rhode Island as an Executive Board member. She aids in hosting social, professional development, and philanthropic events. She also plays an active role in the Service Year and AmeriCorps Alum Board by supporting the Strategic Partnership Committee.
Francesca holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from American University and earned her BA in Psychology from the university of Rhode Island, minoring in Spanish and Social and Criminal Justice. Outside of Elevate, Francesca loves to cook, pickle, roast, ferment, and explore every corner of the culinary and real world for new recipes.
Planning trips! I love to travel and extensively research the best restaurants, market places, and activities before going to a new place.
A comma. A pause but not a full stop!
Meal prepping breakfast and lunches for the week is my favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I love cooking, and meal prepping is the perfect excuse to cook for a whole day!
