Jaime came to Elevate with a passion for the arts. Prior to joining the Elevate team, she worked and interned for established nonprofit arts organizations in the DC-area, including Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, Washington Performing Arts, Joy of Motion, and Imagination Stage. Jaime has experience in multiple areas of arts administration, including publications, patron services, programming, and operations but found herself gravitating towards development after an internship in institutional giving at Washington Performing Arts. Jaime’s interest in writing, research, relationship building, and nonprofit management is what drew her to Elevate.
Jaime stays active in the community as a member of the Junior League of Washington—an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities. She recently graduated from American University with a MA in Arts Management and holds a BFA in Dance from the University of the Arts.
When Jaime is not working, she can be found running, taking a Zumba class, watching Netflix and University of Kentucky games, or spending time with loved ones.
Ironically, I am really good at dancing badly! I am a trained dancer, so I know exactly what to do with my body to move in an ugly/weird/awkward way. My cohort often asked me to “bad dance” before class…don’t get any ideas!
I am a period. Periods organize thoughts and give the reader time to breathe! I thrive in a structured, organized environment.
I like going to brunch with friends then prepping for the week ahead!
