Jaime came to Elevate with a passion for the arts and community development. She worked with nonprofit arts organizations in the DMV area, including Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, Washington Performing Arts, and Joy of Motion. Jaime has experience in multiple areas of arts administration, including publications, patron services, and operations, but found herself gravitating towards development while pursuing her Master’s in Arts Management at American University.
Jaime’s interest in writing, research, relationship building, and nonprofit management drew her to Elevate. She claims each day with the company brings new adventures and has her discovering new passions, such as food security and workforce development. Jaime stays active in the community as a member of the Junior League of Washington—an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities in the Greater Washington, DC region.
Jaime enjoys working out, reading, exploring different cocktails (particularly those with Kentucky bourbon), watching her favorite shows or University of Kentucky games, volunteering, and spending time with loved ones..
Ironically, I am really good at dancing badly! I am a trained dancer, so I know exactly what to do with my body to move in an ugly/weird/awkward way. My cohort often asked me to “bad dance” before class…don’t get any ideas!
I am a period. Periods organize thoughts and give the reader time to breathe! I thrive in a structured, organized environment.
I like going to brunch with friends then prepping for the week ahead!
