Katy comes to Elevate after spending nearly two decades in public service, including eight years in the Obama Administration. She served at the most senior level in the White House as the Assistant to the President for Management and Administration, as well as Director of White House Operations. Katy was appointed by President Obama to be Chief of Staff of the US General Services Administration. Katy was also Director of Operations for the Obama-Biden Transition Project. Prior to joining the Administration, she spent close to 10 years in the United States Senate working on operational and legislative issues, including time as the Administrative Director for both Senator Sherrod Brown and Senator Bill Nelson. In her role as Elevate’s Managing Director she works with the CEO to drive the strategy and growth of the company, facilitate and manage its executive leadership team, and oversee Elevate’s operations functions, including human resources, finance and client engagement.

Katy is a graduate of George Mason University. An advocate of leadership and wellness, she founded the President’s Leadership Workshop and the Executive Office of the President’s Health and Wellness Council. She was a member of the White House Council on Women and Girls, and a mentor in several Washington, DC programs. Katy is a frequent speaker on Leadership and Presidential Transitions.

In her free time, Katy is enjoys being active and spending time outside with family, friends, and her pup. A long time runner, she has completed 7 marathons, including the NYC and Marine Corps Marathons. Katy grew up in Massachusetts and is a New England Patriots fan.

Who would play you in a movie made about your life?

Allison Janney would play me in a comedy about my life. She is tall, has a great laugh, and has already mastered the very important "walk and talk".
